A nationally recognized leader in the executive search industry, Mindy has represented leading organizations for more than 25 years. She has successfully recruited senior executives—nationally and internationally—for nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, public/private partnerships, and Fortune 500 companies.
As President of Higher Talent, Inc., Mindy oversees business development, executive search operations, training, and client management. She is passionate about helping professionals reach new career heights and serving mission-driven organizations. She has designed and developed executive search process, infrastructure, and workflow/methodology structures and has trained and mentored recruiters in the executive search industry.
Mindy is said to have “a nose” for talent. She has successfully recruited, coached and placed chief development officers, chief marketing and communications officers, senior academic medical and healthcare philanthropy professionals, and industry-university partnership leaders. She has worked with some of the most highly regarded nonprofits, academic medical centers, private universities and colleges, and large public state and land-grant institutions.
Earlier in her career, Mindy founded VentureSearch, DC, where she provided executive search services in the National Capital Region from 2003 to 2005. Venture Search focused on the fast-growing technology and biotech industries. She had previously served as Director, Business Development & Recruiting, at Dinte Resources, Inc., an executive search firm based in Washington, DC. In the late-1980s, Mindy honed her skills working with internationally renowned executive search firms Eastman & Beaudine and Heidrick & Struggles.
Mindy is a board member of Easter Seals DC | MD | VA, speaks at and sponsors the University Industry Development Program Conferences, has been a panelist at the American Marketing Association Symposium for the marketing of Higher Education, and is an elected member of the Network of Nonprofit Search Consultants. She has a BA in Biology from the University of Texas, Austin, and recently earned a Level 1 Certification from Hogan Assessments, introducing this personality analysis tool to Higher Talent’s clients.
She supports several nonprofits, including WAMU 88.5 American University, Meals on Wheels, Levitt Pavilions, and her alma mater, University of Texas, Austin, and is a member of CASE, AFP, and AHP, as well as several Linkedin groups, focused on diversity and inclusion.
